The Bark Magazine published a few of my “Hey Pup” photos in the most recent issue of the magazine. The photos are part of an essay about dogs at home. It was so fun to see some of these photos published as I’ve been working on this series for over a year now.

Me and a Blog
I am so excited to be featured on Rachel Hulin’s blog twice this week! A week ago I emailed her about the lack of interesting and inspiring pregnancy photos out there. Since she is always finding the coolest photos I figured she would be the person to ask. This was her response.
Turns out Rachel and I have a lot in common!
Thanks Rachel!

Self Portrait
I guess a photo is the best way to announce that I’m pregnant! This was shot for Thisisaphotoblog.com for a self portrait assignment. I shot it two weeks ago when I was 27 weeks pregnant. I plan on continuing to work for the next few months as I still feel pretty good. I’m hoping to shoot a few more self portraits as time goes on. Oh and its a girl!

Hello West Coast
After 3 wonderful years living on the East Coast we are back in California. Leaving was bittersweet. I absolutely love everything about NY (ok I could live without the winter) It truly was the most wonderful experience but there are many changes happening and being back home was where we needed to be. I can’t really complain about being back in California as it will always be my home. Just trying to adjust and get back into the swing of things.
We decided to have movers take our stuff and then make the journey to California by car. This will be the third time we’ve driven across country so we decided to take a more northern route (mostly to see Yellowstone area) and it was just unreal. I think I’ve been to almost every state but by far South Dakota and Wyoming are the most beautiful.
Here are a few personal shots that I thought were fun……..
I’m pretty sure I was too close to him but he didn’t seem to mind. I have no idea why he looks like he is jumping.

Husband and many wall critters
(would love to do a shoot in here)

Outtakes from Venus Zine
Here are a few outtakes/behind the scenes photos from the shoot with Melissa Auf Der Maur shot for Venus Zine.

I don’t normally like pulled back shots like this but the whole set looked so strange.
Edible Manhattan_The Chef and the Politician
This just came out in the newest issue of Edible Manhattan. I posted about this shoot a few months back but its finally out now. The interview is really cute, brothers are so funny.

Liz, Hurley, and Lucy
Just shot these the other day. Hurley (the white dog) is still a pup so all he wanted to do was torture Lucy but as a typical chihuahua she wanted nothing to do with him. It was really cute. Liz is a photographer too, actually studying for her Masters. Its always fun shooting another photographer but a little intimidating.
